Value Analysis and Value Engineering

Value Analysis is a standardized, multi-skilled team approach which aims at ascertaining the lowest cost way and guaranteeing the highest worth to complete the functions of a product, process or service. Value analysis means to evaluate product functions and value-to-cost ratios, and to find opportunities for costs reduction.

Value Engineering denotes to the design stage. This methodology is commonly used for new products, therefore the same principles and techniques to pre-manufacturing stages such as concept development, design and prototyping are applied.

To sum up, VA / VE is a systematic and systemic method to increase the value of an item, which can be a product, system, process, procedure, plan, machine, equipment , tool, service or working method. Function analysis is measure of VA as its purpose is to recognize product functions compared to cost and price; design and construction assessment is done through VE with the goal of excluding elements which are not contributing to function.

Product's function should not be considered merely as its application and practical uses: it can also comprise aesthetic features, or the combination of the two subsequently dictates of functional beauty philosophy: this theory is based on the co-occurrence of aesthetics and performance. What matters the most in enlisting a VA / VE is that the function is evidently defined, so that it can be examined in detail and sub-segmented to make the examination easier.

A project completed with VA/VE technology is more fruitful and effective than a project developed without that method, because goals and requirements are pursued in a customer centric way. VA/VE is almost boundless in identifying area of possible savings, as it can be used to reach quality, improve effectiveness and reduce risks, in a cost saving way.

scaling techniques

A Classification of Scaling techniques   SCALING TECHNIQUES ARE CLASSIFIED INTO TWO   Comparative   Non-comparative     Comparative scales  involve  the direct comparison of stimulus objects. Comparative scale data must be interpreted in relative terms and have only ordinal or rank order properties.   Under comparative they are four kind of techniques   1.paired  comparison   2.rank order   3.constant sum   4.q sort  and other  procedures     In non-comparative scales, each object is scaled independently of the others in the stimulus set. The resulting data are generally assumed to be interval or ratio scaled.   Under non comparative scales they are two kinds   1.continuous rating scales   2.itemized rating scales   Again,  under itemized scaling they are three kind   1.likert   2.semantic differential   3.stapel     Paired comparison ...

what is GDP?

HOW DO YOU MEASURE THE SIZE OF AN ENTIRE ECONOMY ?  let's say i buy a coffee here in Hyderabad for  RS 15  those  RS 15 are factored into the India's GDP  In fact most of what's around you is part of GDP  GDP  is an important gauge of the overall health of an economy . Its stands for gross domestic product simply puts , GDP measures the total valve of all goods and services in a country . that means it measures a lot of stuff  worth  a lot of money.  2019,  GDP  in  India  was at around 2.59 trillion U.S. dollars.  In the  US , the world's biggest economy , It's around $ 19 trillion every year.  HOW DO YOU GET THESE NUMBERS  ?  well  you calculate GDP in a few different ways , but the commonly used this equation goes like      GDP = C+ I+ G+ NX C= CONSUMPTION I= INVESTMENT G= GOVERNMENT SPENDING NX =NET EXPORTS CONSUMPTION  is another way of saying consume...
